Vinessens Casa Balaguer Tragolargo Monastrell 2024From husband and wife team Andrs Carull and Marta Ribera, Tragolargo is a no added sulphur Monastrell grown on bush vines at 700 metres above sea level in Alicante, farmed organically and biodynamically with all grapes hand harvested. Fermented with native yeasts and 30% whole bunch inclusion, the stems lend a lift of freshness that keeps the wine lively rather than heavy. The name says it all: "big gulp" is precisely the register this wine operates
